raccoon returns....

From the sound of it, somewhere between 4:30 am and 5:00 am, the raccoon had quite a struggle getting the lid off the garbage can after knocking it over...

S/he must have been pretty hungry...

A ha! You have a rascal in your yard, too. We have had trouble with racoons forever... good thing they are so adorable!

About the water park and husband company picnics... do you know for years my husband's company picnic has been at the same kind of place. I went ONCE. Never again. My kids went with him for a while and then they grew out of it. I want to know, with all ot he gorgeous state parks we have aorund here, why they can't have the pcinics at a place more conducive to gathering as a group and enjoying each other's company, instead of everyone wandering off into the concrete and chlorine??? You and I are so much alike...

Last year we had a Mama raccoon and her crew of three...so cute. I think this one might eventually be bringing a crew along some night...we'll see. A friend told me about a night when they left the kiddie pool out, and heard splashing and shrieking because the young raccoons were having a blast...I was tempted to find a kiddie pool to leave out just for the experience ;-)

I feel the same way about company picnics...they could be a great way to gather and have fun together. Judging from the amount of personality conflicts that I've seen, though, at these car dealerships, it might just be wiser to give everyone a place to run off to ;-). We did get into a conversation with a very nice woman in the park, and then found out that she was there with her daughter who was also from the company...
I do think my guys are outgrowing it more and more, though.
And I agree...were are so much alike :-)
