my walk today...

A little photo essay from a short walk that I took today. The temperature is starting to warm up a little after our nor'easter this weekend. The backyards are full of acorns, so the deer are coming in pretty regularly to eat their fill. I startled this one and she left to head for the woods, over the tracks, where I went as well.

so very pretty - while i know that things are dying, it all strikes me as so alive, transformed... the way of becoming... beautiful shots...

thanks maire!
I think there's something very special in the muted colors of these dying plants. Maybe like a black and white photo, they call for us to fill in the colors with our own imaginations, and so something inside of us is awakened while they are fading away.
